Abstract
In Latin-America, the widespread use of veterinary ivermectin against COVID-19 has been documented, despite the lack of scientific evidence and potential associated risks. In light of this hype, we analyzed our findings from a mixed-method study conducted on attitudes and treatment behaviour in Bolivia in 2018, where the unscientific use of veterinary ivermectin against Chagas Disease had emerged to an extent never previously described.
